Year of the Historical: June Reviews

Hi, historical reading party peoples! It’s that Year of the Historical time. Again. Yall know the drill by now. It’s time to share what we’ve all be reading in the historical arena. I even have one to add to the mix! But the review won’t be up till tomorrow. And it’s a short story. Hey, at least I got one in! Here’s to hoping everyone else had a great month of historical reading.

Below you’ll find a Mr. Linky Widget. Simply type in your name and/or blog name and book title (where it says “Your Name:”) and the link to your specific Year of the Historical March review (Please make sure it is the direct link to your post and not simply your site’s home page.). And yes, if you have more than one, just enter each separately. You do not have to leave a comment after submitting your review – that’s just an automatic part of the widget, but you’re certainly welcome to comment if you’d like.

If you have any questions, just drop them in the comments section. Thank you!

Read my very first Garwood this month. Loved it! I can’t believe I’ve never read her before.

Read two Christine Wells books this month and my love affair with her writing is still burning hot.

Thank you for your reviews, ladies!

Lori, I remember my fondness for Garwood historical romances, but sadly I can’t remember the books anymore. Maybe I need to do some re-reading. ;)

VampFanGirl, Wells is a new one to me, definitely checking out your review soon. :)

For the first time in what feels like months I read a historical romance – Rose Lerner’s In for a Penny. No review unfortunately, but I loved it! It contained three of my favourite tropes – Plain Jane, marriage of convenience and rebuilding an estate.

I read my first Alison Weir this month. I definately plan on reading more. Also, In for a Penny sounds good. I think I might try it out sometime. When I finally whittle by TBR down… lol who am I kidding? That will never happen.

WHAT LUCK! I bought my first Garwood at a yard sale today – The Secret. I’m SO looking forward to it. And her covers are tasteful enough for me to buy them without worrying about backlash. ^^

    I also bought a Jude Deveraux….Fingers crossed I become a fanboy.
