I've badgered booksellers near and far in an attempt to pry a copy of Darkly Luminous out of their store rooms in advance of the release date, but to no avail! The unique, wondrous world of Percy, so deftly created and so richly invested with humanity, is a place I have no qualm about visiting. Many thanks for your in-depth review and your appreciation for this author and her books (she's a dear, amazing person, in person, BTW). Here's to Darkly and the subsequent titles in this series! Long may Percy reign! Oh my goodness, how you all have whet my appetite! As it was, he was so stifling to me this time around. I got the impression he wanted to possess her more than anything. Percy can't go on a shelf to be viewed. She had to get out there and Alexi couldn't handle it. Very odd to me considering he can stomach other ladies doing dangerous supernatural work. Yes, Percy was his twu wuv, but she was the ultimate power they'd been waiting for. Give her her dance space, man! I actually didn't mind Alexi as much in this book--I agree with Heather that I saw his actions more as him not knowing how to handle emotion all of a sudden.
