Apologies in advance for the crappy layout-it’s best I could do.
Well, no use in padding around it – YES, it’s JOSHUA for the WIN!!!
A huge congrats to Joshua Allen for kicking ass and taking names in season four of So You Think You Can Dance!
Now, back to the beginning of the show (and uh, no surprise, but I forgot to bring my damn notes with me!), I have to say this was one of THE most entertaining nights, network TV-wise, for me ever. The dancing was practically non-stop and that’s what I want to see on a finale night! The judges each picked a favorite dance, some picked two, and we really did get to see some of the best performances of the season again. I think Katee’s routines were the most requested.
We got to see again (click the pics for videos):
The night was further panned out with performances from a couple of the judges – Nigel tap danced with a young troupe of dancers from Debbie Allen’s dance academy and Mary Murphy danced for us as well. I really liked Mary’s dance, but then I actually love her on the show. Hubby cannot stand her loud squeeling, but it makes me LMAO every time.
Another part I loved was dancers from past seasons, along with Season 4, doing a routine together. It showcased the individual skills of the dancers and was major cool to watch. This was the Best of So You Think You Can Dance for the past four seasons.
There was a popping dance off between the amazing Robert Muraine and Philip Chbeeb. Philip apparently tried out, but caught pneumonia and had to bow out. Robert, as most of us know, decided to bow out in Vegas, much to the judging panel’s disappointment.
The Top 20 performed a very cool, I believe it was hip hop? I can’t find a good video of it at the moment Finally found one! Enjoy, folks.
And too – Cirque du Soleil performed!! Found the video!Cannot find a video of it either yet. It was AMAZING! Creepy, emotional and very gripping. Choreographed by Wade Robson, it’s a piece from an upcoming prduction. To find out more about Chris Angel’s “Believe” show, click here.
All in all this was a GREAT way to end the season. Joshua wins, we got to see some more thoroughly entertaining dancing (I even liked the performances BETTER the second time around!) What’s your reaction to the winner? And how sad will you be till next season? :D
